Day 3:

If you think you might be headed for a divorce, be sure to stay involved with your children!  They need all the support they can get through this turbulent time!

Day 4:

If you are thinking it might be time for a divorce, it might be a good idea to withdraw half of the money in all your savings accounts.

Day 5:

If a divorce is coming …. Be sure to safeguard any property that belongs to you.  Some things are not replaceable and could be used for spite or leverage ….

Day 6:

Be sure to limit major purchases if you think a divorce is in your future.  New bills can be financially devastating as you and your spouse attempt to support two households.

Day 7:

If you think you need a divorce, try to be the one that stays in the marital residence.  It might strengthen your position for custody of the kids ….

Day 8:

If a divorce seems imminent, go talk to a counselor or psychologist.  Sometimes, a neutral third party can help you think straight.

Day 9:

Sometimes, no amount of planning will prepare you for an emergency.  If you are being abused – get out.  Go to a shelter.  Go to a friend.  Call the police.

Day 10:

It may seem heartless, but before you ask your spouse for a divorce, it might be helpful to consider some pre-divorce planning.  Continue to follow Tessmer Tips for more divorce planning tips.
